Message & Resources for the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation (Sept. 1, 2024)

In preparation for the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation, which takes place on September 1, 2024, the Vatican’s Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development recently released the message for this special occasion from Pope Francis as well as numerous resources to help promote this important initiative.

In addition to the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation, the Season of Creation is an ecumenical initiative promoted by various groups, including the World Council of Churches, the Lutheran World Federation (LWF), the Anglican Communion and the Laudato Si' Movement. The Time of Creation lasts from September 1 to October 4, the feast of St. Francis of Assisi.
